Every year, the festival assigns the World Premiere Award.
Films that have their world premiere at AVANCA 2020, regardless of the category in which they enter, apply for the special World Premiere Award.

This year, the 24th AVANCA Festival 2020 particularly supports post-pandemic cinema production.

The winner of the World Premiere Award will receive a 5,000 euros cash prize to produce his next film (festival participation as a co-production)
