Submissions are open until July 4^th for the 2^nd edition of the Avanca Pitch Sessions, an international film script competition.

In this parallel initiative to the 25^th AVANCA Film Festival, 5 feature films and 10 short films will be selected and consequently assure access to the Talk & Coaching program conducted by Rui Pedro Tendinha.

The Pitch Sessions take place at the CineTeatro of Estarreja on July 28th and 29th, when the 15 nominees present their pitch to the international panel of judges, specialists in film script, production and direction.

The AVANCA Film Festival and the Avanca Pitch Sessions seek to respond to the pandemic context, and will take place based on the guidelines and recommendations of the DGS and the Government.
AVANCA is an organization of the Avanca Cine-Club and Municipality of Estarreja and has been happening each year with the support of the ICA / Ministry of Culture, IPDJ, CIRA, the Parish Council of Avanca, the Estarreja School Group, the Parish and the Avanca Associations, with the support of several universities and higher education schools in the country, companies and other institutions in the region.
